Dr. Colby Beecham earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University and completed his undergraduate at Christopher Newport University. Colby earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification while in DPT school and used this education to train clients to achieve stronger and healthier lifestyles. Colby is a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist in Dry Needling using these techniques to decrease pain in his patients and get them back to exercise faster. Colby’s passion in the sport of CrossFit has allowed him the opportunity to work with several CrossFit games athletes and teams at the highest level. He attributes a lot of his success to his ability to challenge patients mentally and physically, using his training background to build patients confidence and ability to achieve their goals.
He is motivated to treat all individuals and help them return to active lifestyles with a special interest in keeping people out of pain and in the gym. Colby played 4 years of collegiate football and currently competes in the sport of CrossFit. If he is not in the gym he is either outdoors hunting, walking his 2 dogs Koda and Baloo, or spending quality time with his wife and 2 kids. He has a passion for promoting fitness and seeing individuals not only pain free but educating them on how to be fitter than they ever were.
